Part 2 You will hear a staff member giving visitors directions at the Larchgate Night Market.
Good evening everyone, and welcome to the Larchgate Night Market. My name is Alex and I am one of the staff members here this evening. Before you go in and start exploring, I will give you some general information and then explain where things are located so you can move around easily.
The market is open until late tonight and usually attracts a wide mix of visitors, including families, couples and groups of friends. Many people like to walk around slowly, while others prefer to head straight to the food and music areas. To help everyone enjoy the evening, we ask you to follow a few simple guidelines.
You are standing at the main entrance, at the bottom of the map. When you walk in, you will reach a large round crossing in the middle of the market. This is the main meeting point. If anyone gets separated from their group at any time, please come back to this crossing and wait there.
Now, the first thing some visitors need help with is tickets. The ticket help desk is on the top left side of the market. From the central crossing, take the path to the left and follow it up to the corner.
If you would like a free market map, you can collect one from the information booth. This is also on the left side of the market, but it is halfway up rather than in the corner. From the crossing, go left and you will see it before you reach the top.
For anyone who feels unwell during the evening, the first aid point is located in the bottom left corner. From the crossing, go left and then follow the path down to the end.
Now for shopping areas. The craft stalls are at the top of the market, in the centre. From the central crossing, walk straight up and you will see them ahead of you.
If food is your main interest, the street food court is on the top right side. From the crossing, go straight up first, then turn right at the top path. This area can get busy later in the evening.
Finally, there is a security check on the lower right side of the market. Visitors carrying large backpacks will need to have them checked there before continuing further inside.
One final reminder before you go in. Please remember to pick up a wristband at the entrance gate. You only need to do this once. Live music usually starts at seven thirty near the food court area, so feel free to head there later if you would like to listen.
That is all for now. Enjoy your evening at the Larchgate Night Market.
