Part 1: You will hear a phone conversation between a caller and a festival assistant.
STAFF: Lumen Street Festival helpline. How can I help? CALLER: Hi. I am coming on Saturday and I want to get a few things before I arrive. Can you tell me where to buy them nearby? STAFF: Sure. Are you staying close to the festival site? CALLER: Yes, near the old tram depot. STAFF: That is a good spot. There are a few places visitors usually use, and they are easy to reach on foot. CALLER: Great. Where should I start? STAFF: Start at Cedar Plaza. It is beside the Public Records building. If you walk along the canal path from the depot, you will reach it in about ten minutes. CALLER: Beside the Public Records. OK. STAFF: For snacks and cold drinks, use the Copper Crate kiosk. It is on the edge of Cedar Plaza. To reach it, walk past the mural wall and then take the second left. CALLER: Past the mural wall, second left. STAFF: They stay open until six, but if you want the best choice, try to get there by 4.10 pm. CALLER: By four ten. CALLER: I also want something waterproof, just in case it rains. STAFF: Go to the outdoor shop called Pace Outdoor. It is on Kestrel Row, opposite the library. You will see a large banner outside the entrance. CALLER: Pace Outdoor, opposite the library, and a banner outside. CALLER: And how do I get to the festival from there? STAFF: There is a shuttle minibus from Cedar Plaza. It is number 58. CALLER: Number fifty eight. Great. STAFF: Do you want suggestions for what to buy at each place? CALLER: Yes, please. STAFF: At that kiosk, people often buy roasted chickpeas. They also sell melon if you prefer something lighter. CALLER: OK. STAFF: At Pace Outdoor, the quickest item is a poncho. They also sell insect repellent. CALLER: Good. STAFF: And at the deli counter on Kestrel Row, the best seller is a cheese twist. If you want dessert, try the cocoa slice. CALLER: That is really helpful. Thanks. STAFF: You are welcome.
