Receptionist: Good morning, Rapid3D Printing Services. How can I help you today? Customer: Hi, I’d like to place an order for several small printed items, please. Receptionist: Certainly. Can I take your name first? Customer: Yes, it’s Daniel Harper. Receptionist: Thank you, Mr Harper. I can see here you previously ordered a phone stand from us last month. Is this a new request? Customer: Yes, that’s right. This one is for a university project. Receptionist: Great. Let’s go through the items one by one. The first item listed here is a model car, printed in resin, about twelve centimetres long. Could you tell me what it’s for? Customer: It’s for a design exhibition at the end of term. Receptionist: Sorry, did you say competition? Customer: No, exhibition E X H I B I T I O N. Receptionist: Thank you. I’ll make a note of that. Now, the second item is a gear wheel made of nylon, eight centimetres wide. Are there any special requirements for that? Customer: Yes, it needs to be very strong because it’ll be tested in a mechanical system. Receptionist: Strong understood. And the third item is a small drone part made from ABS plastic, measuring six centimetres. When do you need that by? Customer: Ideally by Thursday. Receptionist: Thursday? Customer: Sorry, I mean Friday. Receptionist: Friday, this Friday? Customer: Yes, that’s correct. We’re assembling the prototype over the weekend.
Receptionist: I’ll mark that as urgent. Finally, there’s a key holder made from wood fill material, ten centimetres long. What shape would you like for that? Customer: A star shape, please. Receptionist: A star lovely choice. Now regarding collection, the whole order should be ready in three working days. Customer: Three working days, not calendar days? Receptionist: Yes, working days only. We’ll send you a text message as soon as everything is finished. Customer: Perfect. Receptionist: You’ll be able to collect the items from the front desk during normal business hours. Customer: That’s fine. Receptionist: We require a deposit of thirty percent before production begins. We used to require twenty percent, but now it’s thirty. Customer: No problem.
